If an invoice is unpaid past payment due date, how can I set it to automatically add penalty interest fees

Hello,

This feature is not configurable for now. May be you can customize it with custom script/app.

As a work-around, you can add penalty amount in the Payment Entry.

That will appear on the statement?

Automatic interest charges on due invoice would be very useful for us as well

Bumping this question.
Almost every trading company out there give credit to their customers, and interest payment is an integral part of this vertical.

Would like to know if there is any way this can be achieved on the current version ERPNext 15.
