In web form - I’m trying to make the check box fields as read only - but it doesnt happen. It remains editable and allows the website user to change the values.
All other field types can be made read only except for the check boxes.

Can you please share in which web form page you are trying to update the checkbox. A screenshot will help us to support you better.
In Addresses web form, I want to make the preferred billing address and preferred shipping address checkbox to be read only. I have set them as read only in the web form settings, but in the portal it still shows up as editable.

This seems to be working fine in test account. Please try reloading the page once you have made the chenges.
