Is there any way of combining manufacturing of BOM items with project feature like GANTT chart. Basically, we would like to see workload on stations and calculate how many hours of work does a workstation has. Our aim is to know largely how many days of work we have in hand and if we have to give customer an estimate of time before we can start working on their product and deliver it to them.
Also is it possible to define human resources and assign them to various workstations and tasks?? Normally any manufacturing concern would have a number of human resources who may be assigned different tasks at different times as per the requirement.

Currently, tracking Workstation wise work allocated is not the strength of Manufacturing module. Workstation is only used in BOM to derive the valuation for production item. As a work-around, you can make Task in Project module in combination of Workstation and Production Job. The report based on Task will give you estimated time required for completing all approved production jobs.
You can assign Task to personnel responsible via Assign To functionality.
