Comments in Quotations?

  1. Is there a way to add title rows / headings to the body of the quotation? These are for visually grouping items.

  2. Is there a way to add comment rows to the quotation in the body? These are printed and are for the customer. If you could Bold the text then comments could solve #1 titles/headings.

  3. Is there a way to add internal comments to the quotation in the body? These should not be printed.

  4. Is there a way to add blank lines in the body of the quotation? For grouping/making it look nice.

We’re evaluating ERPnext for an industrial automation company. Everything is custom built so the headings / comments / blank lines / labor amounts / item costs are different for every quotation.
The most important is #2 comments. I’m surprised it’s not in erpnext already.

You could use the terms and conditions template for this perhaps

You can create your own Quotation format and adjust css settings, new sections etc
Look at Setup > Printing

Putting comments into Terms and conditions that apply to specific items in the quotation would probably work for short quotes with only a few items, but it would get confusing for quotes that are several pages long (10+ page quotes are normal for us).

I will look into creating our own Quotation format. Or maybe buy a new one from community service providers.
