Completed Status in Production Order with Partial Finished Good Qty

Hi everyone, im doing some tests and needs an answer with some cases like this:

Case 1:

Prod Order-001
FG --> Fish Vitamin Qty 10
RM --> Corn Powder Qty 10

Assumption → 1 FG made, needs 1 RM consumed
The production results are 7 FG with 7 RM consumed, with the rest of FG ordered is stopped and the rest of RM transferred back to RM’s warehouse

Case 2:

Prod Order-001
FG --> Fish Vitamin Qty 10
RM --> Corn Powder Qty 10

Assumption → All RM consumed when starting production
The production results are 7 FG with All RM consumed, with the rest of FG ordered is become Item scrap/waste

Question:

  • What should I do to change production order from “in process” to “completed” ? Not “Stopped”.

If you are producing less qty than the Production Order qty, then you will have to stop Production Order.

Ow, any thought to gave erpnext some kind of “Prematurely Completed” status in the future? because in some country, this kind of cases frequently happened.
