Conditional Mandatory Field Not Working - v14

Hello,

I’ve added some custom fields in the Item DocType and made them conditionally mandatory, depending on the item_group.
The red asterisk appears as expected but upon save there is no warning to fill in the fields, they can be left blank and the record saves. They are part of the naming_series but it generates the name without the info in the field, So lead to a name of --01234, rather than ABC-DEF-01234.

Does anyone experience this issue with custom fields or am I missing something about how the conditionally Mandatory field works?

Might be your condition wrong. I have added it in many production environments and working well.
