Hi, In the Netherlands VAT has changed from 19 to 21 % starting 1 oct 2012. I can enter all info (yes i have a backlog ) until 30/9/12, and than change the VAT tables, or can someone suggest a work around.
Ideally there wld be a conditional possibility, if date < 1.10.12 than is use this, Â else use this.
The simplest way would be to create a new Account called VAT 21.
If you have defined VAT in item tax table of any item, add another entry for VAT 21 for that item, while preserving the existing row for VAT.
Copy existing tax master (used for pulling a set of tax rows in a transaction) and change VAT to VAT 21. Use this in transactions on and after 1st October, 2012.
For older transactions / back dated ones, use the original tax master.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand.
