Contract Template Not Acting As A Template

I tried setting up a contract template, but it doesn’t appear to be working correctly. According to the documentation, inserting jinja tags into the template should cause the contract to be filled out with the appropriate information. However, the substitution does not appear to be taking place:

contracts_template_issue

Any ideas on where to start looking to fix?

What’s the version you’re on? This was added to version 13.

I am in v12. All Contracts in v12 need to be manually rewritten after choosing a template then?

I guess I’m wondering how contracts were meant to be used in v12 without templating.
