Create a custom filter in the listview

Hello,
I want to add the custom filters in the listview. How can I add it?

  1. Go to CUSTOMIZE FORM
  2. EDIT THE FIELD WHICH YOU WANT TO SHOW
  3. TICK ALLOW IN STANDARD FILTER
    THEN SAVE
    IT WILL WORK

I know that already but I am not able to fetch the value as I want so I am asking how to create the custom filter.
