How to create a counting number field similar to the function of the Naming Series field ?
Whereas, the {{ naming_series }} works when it’s the Naming Option for the Doctype.
The counting number field won’t be a Naming Option, in this case.

what is the use case? can you give a practical example.
Case Scenario:
In the Contract Doctype, the Naming of the records is built-in, even if we add naming_series field it won’t work.
We can only set up a counting number in naming_series Docfield, however, in this case, the naming_series doesn’t work and doesn’t create a counting number.
I need a counting number to differentiate between the Doctype records.
