Creating existing asset doesn't book GL entry

Hello,

I created existing asset but the system doesn’t post any GL entry… Do we need to manualy create separate opening value via JV?

I checked and followed it… But no posting in GL entry. How to post current opening value of an existing asset?

I didn’t find ‘Current Value (After Depreciation)’ as mentioned in the manual… Also Opening Accumulated wad not posted too…

Do we need to create another journal entry manually in order to post current asset balance along with opening accumulated depreciation amount?

As you are creating an existing asset, we assume that the accounting entry has already been book via some other entry. If it is not booked yet, then you need to book it manually via Journal Entry.
