Hi everyone,
While preparing a Docker-based ERPNext installation for production, we encountered a CRM frontend build failure when attempting to upgrade Frappe from 16.52.0 to 16.53.0.
Our existing application versions are:
Frappe: 16.52.0
ERPNext: 16.51.1
Frappe CRM: 1.88.0
Build failure
With Frappe 16.53.0 and CRM source corresponding to v1.88.0, bench build fails during the CRM frontend build:
[MISSING_EXPORT] “DataImport” is not exported by
“../../frappe/ui/src/components/DataImport/index.ts”.
src/pages/DataImport.vue:4:10
import { DataImport } from ‘@framework/ui/components/DataImport’
The component interface also differs, so we have not attempted to fix this by simply renaming the import.
Temporary workaround
We retained Frappe 16.52.0 and backported the PyJWT and oauthlib dependency updates from Frappe PR #44577 into our custom Docker image.
The image builds, and basic ERPNext and CRM browser checks pass on staging. We would prefer to return to an officially supported release combination.
Questions
- Which Frappe, ERPNext and CRM release combination is recommended for version 16?
- Is there a released CRM version or recommended commit that supports the DataImport changes in Frappe 16.53.0?
- Is there a documented upgrade order or compatibility matrix for these apps?
Thanks for any guidance!
