Custom Field in User Permission Rule

Anyone has experience adding a custom field in the user permission rule?
For example, if we add a custom field “Warehouse Type”, can we add “warehouse type” to the permission rule to restrict the user view of the warehouses?

@CLU We can set user permission on custom field of type Link
You need to create separate doctype for Warehouse Type and then Add custom Field link to Warehouse Type.
