Custom Field vs Property Setters

Hi All,

I have seen When i update the fields in DocType, some changes are added to the Custom Field doctype and some changes are added to the Property Setters doctype.

I would like to understand what sort of changes will go to Custom Field and What sort of changes will go Property Setters.

What is the difference between the Custom Field and Property Setters?

Custom field: altogether new fields are added as custom fields
Property Setter: changes to existing field from Standard DocType
