Custom User Document Series Naming

Hello,

I want to allow a user to create the name of a document such as a purchase order and when I looked at the document naming series rules it didn’t have a checkbox to enable that. At our company we don’t use the prefixes and would like to be able to apply our own series in whichever manner we feel appropriate.

Use set by user option in naming rule for the doctype. Then you can enter the name for documents manually.

for this issue you need to go to the particular document and go to the setting there will be a place for naming series in there set the option to “by feildname”
by using this you store the data in the particular feild name
