I ran into this issue recently. The problem was being on a different branch of frappe and erpnext - be sure that both are on master, otherwise some functions that change within frappe are not reflected in erpnext yet!
@smino Please check which branch you are on in frappe. Those problems you are seeing are problems of the developer branch as alec_ruizramon1 suggested. In my case I ended up with a frappe repo set to developer in the provided VM. I do not remember meddling with this in any way, could be a bug in the VM setup.
