Typically in a software startup from funding to a stage where the product stabilizes the grants or investments are parked in the CWIP account Head.
Existing feature in Asset Category allows a category of Asset to enable the Capital work in Progress accounting. With this option, all Purchase Receipts can be recorded in the CWIP account.
In the above software company scenario there needs to be a feature to accumulate expenses and move them to the CWIP account. Again this needs to happen through the select expense association with the Asset (as the Purchase receipts are associated with the Asset)
