Data Export Error

Hi everyone, i have 900+ employees data and i created a company for that too, so when i try to import the data for employee doctype, i face unusual errors.

1st- My company name is Green Land so after creation we got the abbr. of GL

and i created few departments called Horticulture, Admin, Projects
But when i add the department for the employees i face error says:- Column 13 (Department)

The following values do not exist for Department: Horticulture, Admin, Projects

The name shown in the department is in this format Horticulture - GL
I even tried that but again no luck.

2nd- I added a project field in the employee doctype.

In which the i created a field name project and linked with the Project doctype but when i added the project in the excel for the employes i got the same error says that : Column 19 (Project)
**The following values do not exist for Project: TCS ****, Harrow International School **

Please guide me

Hi,

For Project, create the Project with same name in Project Doctype and use the Project ID in Import.

For the Department, a better option is exporting the Department master and using that data in the Department column of employee import file to avoid any spelling mistakes.

Project ID is same as per the list of main Project Doctype

Department name also same as i tried with the master file too.
There is no spelling mistakes too.
