Default Material Request Type

Hi
In Item Form
there is inventory section
In this section there is a column “Default Material Request Type” with the following options
Purchase
Material Transfer
Material Issue
Manufacture
Please help me to figure out which option to use for what scenario
My guess is
select “Purchase” if the item is a purchased item
Iam not clear about the other three
Please help

Default material request type is used while making a material request when particular item reach to their reorder level. Material Transfer is used if you want to transfer the material from one branch to another, Material issue is used to deduct the qty from the stock, Manufacture is used to making a new product where production order makes against the material request. So as per your business need you can select the type in the material request/Item master.
