I’m going to enter Delivery Trip data from Delivery Note. Here I can see I can create and submit multiple Delivery Trip from a single Delivery Note. Is this ok?
If my Delivery Note’s one Delivery Trip is submitted, then why or how can I need to submit another? If its partial then ok. I don’t know the logic behind this. If anyone can describe this, please help me.

You can use one delivery note to plan and record multiple deliveries. This is helpful when you need to send stuff to different places, use different trucks, or make deliveries at different times. Each of these deliveries is called a “Delivery Trip.” It’s like having separate to-do lists for different parts of your delivery. You can mark each part as completed when it’s done, giving you better control and organization for your deliveries.

But I have a confusion about it. If I created a Delivery Note under a customer’s order, after full amount of Delivery Trip, why I use this customer’s Delivery Note’s products send to another customer’s location?
If you’ve completed all the delivery trips for a specific customer’s order, it’s not advisable to reuse that same Delivery Note for another customer’s location. Instead, create a new Delivery Note for the second customer’s order to maintain accurate records and avoid potential confusion or billing issues. Each customer’s order should have its own dedicated Delivery Note.
@NCP In that case, If a Delivery Note completed with Delivery Trip, then Delivery Trip option should be hidden from from the create option of that Delivery Note. Isn’t it?
Just a curiosity. What if customer decides to return the Material Against this delivery note and being a customer centric business, you decide to pickup the material from customer’s place?
In such case, you can use the another delivery trip to collect the material against the same Delivery note and can have a sales return.
Moreover, many of the times, delivery note is also used to send the material for Job Works (in Manufacturing) and it also has to come back (after Job Work) and further used in manufacturing of finished/final product.
As ERPnext is an open source system which accommodate a lot of features for every industry, hence some features may not be relevant to your business but might be useful for others.
