Distribution Management System ERPNext

Hello Community Team Members,

We are looking for Distribution Management System with ERPNext. With a specific objective of tracking on-ground sales and stocks at various distributors and Retailers.

Company has finished products and SKU. They supply their stock to various distributors and the distributor supply their stocks to various Retailers. Company (main company) want to entire access of distributor & retailer; They want to automate the process at their sales & procurement level as well. If any one has worked on company, distributor, retailer entire scenario than we would be happy to connect and ready to collaborate.

A more detailed brief would help. At least, to differentiate what’s different in this case, than the usual ERPNext features for distribution.

ERPNext is very strong on distribution domain. Demos to customers on this domain receive very high scores.

Hello @glz

Thanks for replying and shared your valuable inputs and you are absolutely right, ERPNext is very strong on distribution domain. Just to give more clarification, We are looking for Distribution Management System with ERPNext, where company can able to see the inventory & transaction of Distributors & Retailers. At the distributors & retailers level, they have their own login credentials, where they can only able to see their Inventory & Transaction. Also they (Distributors & Retailers) can able to create the PO to the Company. And at the company level, they can see the sales order of distributors (Auto creation of PO to SO). All the sales & purchase process will be perform at the three levels (1.Company, 2.Distributors, 3.Retailers).

Probably a multi company setup would be a good approach.
A company for each distributor/retailer, and the users are limited to this company via user permissions.
The ‘company’ users won’t have user permissions limiting them to any company, and can access any company, theirs, the distributors/retailers companies data etc.
This is off the head. Run it around with other people to get more views.
Also, consider this approach, after factoring in the shared masters. Items, I guess are shared. Customers and suppliers probably not.
