Recently found out that if you put a folder under your_site/private/backups , the backup fails and returns the message:

Backup failed for Site your_site. Database or site_config.json may be corrupted

which leads you to a cul-de-sac. So, do not put anything under these folders…

Here’s the fun part:
go to backup.log under your frappe_home/logs and see the end of the file…
