Doctype not shown in stock

Hey,

I have made a new doc type called “packing” and and the document type as ‘master’ (also checked ‘is a child table’) . This should have brought the document in the stock home page. But it didn’t seem to work. I have tried by creating new doc and following the same procedure,but no results. I have done the same for HR and it worked.
Did i miss any step?

Do you need create a new stock.py in the config folder of your app.

Check the config files in ERPNext to understand how this entries work?

Okay, NO i didn’t create a new app. i was adding custom doctypes to same modules. I guess that’s where i went wrong. Thanks :slight_smile:
