Doctype Rename - Like invoice or orders

Hi,

Can we rename the core doctypes? or will it have any affect on existing functionality of those doctypes?

Like rename the sales invoice or rename the sales order, just for an example.

The Renaming is possible by using Translation which does not effect anything as far as functionality is concerned. Please make sure user language matches with Translation Languauge.
