Does ERPNext support any kind of database other than MariaDB

Hello all, I was just wondering if ERPNext supports MySQL database? Or any other database excluding MariaDB of course.

I would appreciate your feedback.

There was / is a move to port to Postgre. But it does not look close to complete. ERPNext PostgreSQL Support - #6 by ankush

What about MySQL ?

@Amal_Alahmadi MariaDB is a fork of and the open source equivalent of MySQL. Even if there were a MySQL feature you’re looking for in MariaDB its unlikely that Frappe/ERPNext would actually take advantage of it.
