Drop Ship: Do I have to Uncheck The "Maintain Stock" Option?

Dear ERPNext Team,

My company handles orders through drop shipment, which means we don’t maintain any stock ourselves. However, when adding a new item and selecting “drop ship”, the option “Maintain Stock” under “Stock Levels” stays checked by default.

Do I need to uncheck “Maintain Stock”, or does this option still serves some accounting purpose during the drop shipment sales cycle?

No. Drop Ship item can be stock item as well.
