E-invoicing Compliance GST in Version 12

Our Customer is looking for E-invoicing. We are using ERPNext V12 (erpnext 12.16.2, frappe 12.13.0).

While going through the below blog , we find that ERPNext is einvoice ready from v13.

However, we are able to view the E-Invoice Option. Has anyone used the einvoicing in V12?

Is ERPNext V12, einvoicing compliant?

Any pointers on the above will be really helpful.
