Edit Purchase Order once it has been submitted

How can I edited a purchase order once it has been submitted? This would also go for Sales Orders as well.

Sometimes edits are necessary, and a new PO is not needed.

Quite simply, you can’t. You must cancel and amend the order. Once submitted, these documents are considered permanent records.
