Employee Checkin Vs Attendance

What is the main difference between the Employee Checkin and Attendance?

I feel as if ones you do the employee checkin, there is no need of doing attendance as employee checkin already signifies attendance.

Is my assumption right? Kindly clarify the 2 and how to use them.



The difference between both is that employee checkin happens when biometric machine is linked with ERPNext and attendance is created automatically using biometric whereas attendance gets recorded when you use employee attendance tool, upload attendance and attendance request.
