Employee Not Listed Under Reports To / Team Lead Profile

Description

We are facing an issue with the Reports To functionality in the Employee Doctype.

When an employee is assigned to a Team Lead using the Reports To field, the employee is not appearing under the Team Lead’s profile, even though the Reports To field is correctly configured.

Problem 1

When Abhinav is assigned as the Reports To for an employee, the employee is not listed under Abhinav’s profile.

Abhinav is the Team Lead, and the employee’s Reports To field is correctly set to Abhinav.

Expected Result:
The employee should appear under Abhinav’s employee/team list.

Actual Result:
The employee is not displayed under Abhinav’s profile.

Problem 2

For Mohan, the Reports To field is assigned to his Team Lead, Ibrahim.

However, Mohan is not appearing under Ibrahim’s profile.

At the same time, other employees who have Ibrahim assigned as their Reports To are correctly listed under Ibrahim’s profile.

Expected Result:
Mohan should also be displayed under Ibrahim’s profile along with the other employees reporting to him.

Actual Result:
Mohan is missing from Ibrahim’s employee/team list, even though the Reports To field is correctly assigned.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Employee Doctype.

  2. Open an employee’s Employee record.

  3. Set the Reports To field to the respective Team Lead.

  4. Save the Employee record.

  5. Open the Team Lead’s profile.

  6. Check the employees listed under the Team Lead.

  7. The employee with the Reports To assignment is not displayed.

Additional Information

  • The issue is occurring only for certain employees.

  • Other employees with the same Team Lead are displayed correctly.

  • The Reports To field is correctly assigned in the Employee record.

  • Screenshots of the Employee records and Team Lead profile can be provided.

Expected Behaviour

All employees whose Reports To field is assigned to a particular Team Lead should be consistently displayed under that Team Lead’s profile.
