Hi @Sumith-2004 ,

Both are the stable version. Yes obviously If you are using higher version then you will get a new functionality that is not available in 14 version. Not anything is complex.
Just read a documentation and learn a new features.

Thanks

Bugs

Well, there are bugs in all the versions (and probably always will be). The software is rather large, runs on many platforms, and is used by a wide variety of people. Even if the maintainers did nothing except work on bugs for the next 5 years? I doubt Frappe/ERPNext would achieve 100% bug-free status. :man_shrugging:

Stability

Thinking about this in terms of what the maintainers are doing: I suspect v15 experiences more patches + backported code, versus v14. So if you’re seeking the version least worked-on lately? The further you go back, the less that version will be updated on GitHub.

But if you’re self-hosting, then “stability” is actually your own responsibility. ERPNext isn’t Microsoft Windows: you’re not forced to update and patch. So if stability is your top priority: simply don’t download or install any incremental updates.

Real Talk

If you’re starting from scratch? Unless you have a really good reason (some 3rd party App maybe), then I suspect most people here will suggest you install v15. It is arguably better than all previous versions, in almost every way.

Less-Real Talk

The only thing I will say (half jokingly) is that each iteration of ERPNext is less and less colorful :red_circle: :green_circle: :large_blue_circle:. Earlier versions were quite flashy. Most recently, v15 ditched the “E” logo’s color. The web app is nearly 100% black and white.

I have wagers placed in Macau, Las Vegas, and Singapore that ERPNext v16 will look something like this:
