ERPNext and Nullmailer

Dear All,

In an internet server, it is not an entirely uncommon setup to have ERPNext running as a jail or virtual environment, where mail from within the server itself is handled by nullmailer, no requiring any authenticsation. Alas, ERPNext demands the entry of a username and password, which renders the mail setup unnecessarily complex.
This could be made a bit easier, IMHO.
Thanks a lot for your thoughts,
Chris

Did you try it? Login Id and password are non mandatory. I am not familiar with how nullmailer works, but it might work out.

Thanks a lot, Anand. It does not seem to work; I get “Login Id is required”.
Not a huge problem - I have configured my Qmail-LDAP server accordingly by now. Guess I am missing something?
Cheers!
Chris
