Hi,

I woud like to know, if I do customization on GL Entry is that count as customize core? I need to keep department information on GL Entry line.
If I do that, will that make me unable to do upgrade version of my ERPNext?

Hi @janeadithas

If your changes are being made from the front end (UI), they are unlikely to affect the core. Changes made directly to the application files on the server are what affect the core and break upgrades

If you want to make changes on the server side, it should be done in a custom app to keep it separate from the core files
