ERPnext for Sales Agent

Hi guys,

wanted to ask if the ERPnext might be suitable for an Agency Organisation.
All i am here is doing that I’m making quotations for the client that i am dealing with. My clients are foreign based and i send them the best quotations possible for the clientele for certain items. there are quality inspection templates but i am not maintaining an inventory for those certain items. and I’ve listed the items as non-stock items. Although they do get picked up in the sales order but a ledger wont be maintained since i am charging commissions for my service. How it can be possible with ERPnext?

is there a way to integrate ERPnext for my agency.

It’s not entirely clear from your details, but from what I understand, quotations and sales orders do not impact inventory.

For your service, you can create a separate sales invoice, which should solve your issue.

If you don’t want to manage inventory at all, you can enable negative stock, which will allow transactions without stock validation, and you can keep your invoices separate.

yes, since i am not managing any kind of inventory, i have “ticked off” maintain stock option when making an item, making it a non-stock item. I’ll run a cycle with negative stock, but i cant find a way of generating commissions from that certain sales order.

rather sales invoice for that matter.

How do you normally calculate your commission? Once I understand your process, I can suggest a solution.

You can charge your commission in sales taxes and charges.

You have different options to calculate the commission. If you are charging percentage-based commission, you can select On Net Total or if you are charging lumpsum amount you can select Actual.

my calculations are based upon the amount of quantity ordered, and how the products are falling into their standards and quality inspection templates.
