ERPNext upgrade from version v7.1.0

Hi All!
Need advice on upgrading ERPNext. Current version is v7.1.0. Should we upgrade versions one by one, from 7 to 8 and then to 9 etc?
Or we can “skip” some versions and try to upgrade at once to 9th or some upper?

Any advice or similar experience will be much appreciated!

You can’t skip versions. you have to upgrade from one to the other except from 11 - 13.
