Erpnext Upgrade Tutorial

Hello I do have an erpnext v15 installed and want to upgrade.
So after performing backup by: bench --site [sitename] backup,
I should bench init erp --frappe-branch version-15 in a clean ubuntu desktop/server then copy the database backup to the new erpnext v15?
Is this the correct method, how about if my erpnext v14 but want to upgrade to v15?

Ubuntu 24.04.01, Current ERPNext V15.
