Using ERPNext Virtual Machines by
hassan.youssef.dba@gmail.com
You will need Oracle’s Virtual Box to use the image (You can also use any other VirtualBox Manager):
https://www.virtualbox.org/
Import the .ova file into VirtualBox. Though the default settings of the appliance should be good enough for most users, you may need to change them if you face performace issues.

The virtual appliance uses ubuntu-18.04.2-server.

The virtual appliance comes with a site with ERPNext installed on it

The credentials of the virtual image are:

username: hassan
password: hym123
mysql-root-password: hym123
Once the Virtual Machine boots, use your HOST operating system’s browser and go to:

http://localhost:8080
and login using:

user: Administrator
password: hym123
Download Virtual Machines

Hi, thanks for the great effort.

However after download (8 hrs - 92 kbs/sec) and installation Oracle VM, the following error message appears after starting the VM:

Failed to open a session for ERPNext-Production 12 virtual machine.

VMMR0_DO_NEM_INIT_VM failed: VERR_NEM_MISSING_KERNEL_API_2 (VERR_NEM_MISSING_KERNEL_API_2).

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

Resultaatcode: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

Anyone an idea how to resolve?

Thanks for the tip. Indeed Hyper-V is enabled😏.

Make sure Virtualization is enabled in your BIOS and that nothing uses it already - Hyper-V is a very common issue.
