I have tried every taxation setting as per ERPnext documentations and every single video and post that is available online but still no solution. Their documentations are incomplete with information that does not apply to their current software version. I am sharing the screenshots of the settings i have currently on my frappe hosted ERPnext. The system wont select the correct tax rate no matter what i do. It stays stuck to a single tax rate.
You haven’t set a tax category in the item’s tax options; maybe this will help.
Already tried that as well. Doesn’t help.

Is the item you are selecting a variant?
Yes, I have created a item template and the template has item variants.
Can you try without variants?
It’s still the same. I think the default taxes setup in demo company deployed by erpnext is incorrect. I will setup a new site and do a fresh taxes setup and then try again
