ERPNext v4 Installation problem

Hi,

I am trying to install the latest version on a fresh Ubuntu 14.04.1 lts server.  I run the script as indicated in the instructions, but I cannot get passed that step.  When trying to run the "bench init frappe-bench" command, I get a response stating that "bench" is not a valid command.  I cannot see what I am doing wrong.

Thank you

Hi Bernard,

Did you clone and install frappe bench?

Hi Bernard,

DId you run the script as root or from the ubuntu user. If you ran the
script as root, let’s see how far has it gone.

What is the output of
ls /home
ls /home/frappe

Thank you

Hi Pratik,

I was successful running the script under the root user like you suggested.

Thank you very much!

Hi Sunil,

You were correct, I missed that step.

To ERPNext team:
I think the manual could benefit from a better layout.  The way it is right now, the step to install the Bench is part of the "Hard way" section, but it should be in a section of its own.

Thank you

Hi Bernard Lefebvre,

Manuals are available on Github. In fact, tutorials are in our priority list to help users/developers.
