ERROR 1698 (28000): Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’ on installation

Hey Guys,

I am trying to install ERPNext , Frappe and it’s modules. While continuing with the procedure , I write a command “mysql_secure_installation” . Then I got a space to enter current root password. Actually I have no current root password. I uninstalled and removed every modules and dependies and even uninstalled and reinstalled ubuntu. Still I am getting an error “ERROR 1698 (28000): Access denied for user ‘root’@‘localhost’” . Kindly do help… The Screenshot is attached…

Hey Guys,
I got the solution while adding ‘sudo’ …
ie , “sudo mysql_secure_installation” . Actually at 1st it didn’t work but when I tried now, it worked.
