Error in filter and cannot open any transactions

Hello,

Why is that the filter header is missing? and when I open the specific transaction there is no happening. Only white screen

Did you try reloading it ? From the topbar, click on ‘Administrator > reload’.

If it still doesn’t work, open developer console by Ctrl + Shift + j or by right clicking anywhere on the screen and selecting ‘inspect’ option. See if there is any error there.

This has happened to me couple of times.

This has worked for me:

Clear Browser Cache.
Try pressing ‘Reload’ from Bench UI (comes in User Info Context Menu - Click on Administrator)
If bench is in production mode, say bench restart or else in developer process, just kill bench process and type bench start again

@ossphinc Is the bench update still in process or is it done with.

It seems either update / migrate was not successful. Do you have any messages on the terminal ? can you paste that here… ?

Also the above problem of filter is related with this ? coz it seems to be a separate issue…

Hello,

The issue before was the filter or the transaction is not working so we did an bench update if this is the fix of our issue.

pymysql.err.DataError: (1265, u"Data truncated for column ‘labor_cost’ at row 1")

This seems to be a bit tricky…

Do you have the backup of the database ?
Did you try killing all process of bench and redis and try it again ? Try bench restart and see what happens ?
If still it does not work and if you have database backup you can try bench reinstall and try db import of the backup again. NOTE: Do not Do this if you dont have DB Backup coz reinstall wipes our DB

You generally take DB backup with command $ bench backup which generally takes backup in folder <frappe_bench_folder> / sites / <your site> / private / backup / <your db backup file zipped>

But it would have been great if the Backup was taken before the bench update command. Because may be possible bench update may gave applied some db changes which is creating this problem.

I am not sure whether it will help you with reinstalling with current DB Backup…

I think the JS and CSS Resources needs to be rebuilt.

Did you try

$ bench update --build

and

$bench restart

optionally of your instance is on production mode you can try

$ service supervisor restart
$ service nginx restart

and then try to see…

For this one you should try the following :

update `tabYour Tab NAME` set labor_cost = '0' where trim(coalesce(labor_cost, '')) = '';

Here the table name will be ‘tab’ followed by your Doc Type. Example your DocType where u did customization is Quotation then tab name will be tabQuotation
