At the time of saving salary component getting this error.
Component Type cannot be “null”. It should be one of “”, “Provident Fund”, “Additional Provident Fund”, “Provident Fund Loan”, “Professional Tax”
Hope you have selected proper type - that is - ‘Earning’ / ‘Deduction’?
If type is deduction then and then component type combobox is visible but in code it is mandatory validation is there. so I need to enable component type combobox for earning & deduction and select some value for each earning and deduction type then it is working.
this is bug in the code.
We tried to replicate the same at our end, however the saving of the records is seamless, might be your version issue.
I would suggest to switch to a stable version.
