Just wondering why it is removed. It is actually quite useful in some cases.
Im not familiar with this feature but am curious. What did it do and how did you use it?
Hi @fiveoaks:
Event Stream let’s you “communicate” two sites. Imagine two branches, A and B, where B have no permanent and/or reliable internet connection.
Branch B will work normally, creating sales invoices, etc … When connection is avaliable will send data to branch A. It could be be bidirectional and synchronize all kind of data.
Anyway, is not so usual this kind of scenarios these days.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the explanation. That would have been a nice feature to have.
Hi. Hi everyone,
- Is “Event Streaming” officially deprecated?
- Are there any plans to bring it back as a core or as app in the Frappe Marketplace?
Would appreciate any insights or roadmap info on this topic. Thanks in advance!
That is an important question and a feature. Event Streaming The documentation remains but no sign in the core implementation. An explanation would be nice by the maintainers.
Hi,
For Event Streaming Frappe stopped the active development and repository is in public archive.
If you need, you may install it as separate app.
frappe/event_streaming: Event Streaming for frappe
Thanks,
Divyesh M.
We have noticed that but will the product proceed or is it in such a mature phase that it won’t need any updates in the future?
