Existing Asset Value - Not pulling in Chart of accounts

Asset Value is not visible for existing assets. it gets pulled to chart of accounts if we make a purchase invoice and remove existing asset selection
if its a bug pl guide to create a git request . if not kindly guide the process to pull the existing asset value

You have to manually pass the journal entry for existing assets.’
