Thank you so much for your response @avc @Yamen_Zakhour

I was going through the plans listed on Frappe Cloud and noticed that one of them mentions 0.5 compute hours/day. I would be grateful if you could kindly clarify what this refers to.

If possible, could you also share how these compute hours are calculated? I truly appreciate your support. Thank you!

Hi @shazadnazir:

Check this. Published time ago but useful for understanding.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, @avc, for your response.

From what I understand, compute hours are only consumed when there are HTTP or HTTPS requests.

So, if ERPNext is being used primarily for backend operations—such as Buying, Selling, or Accounting—and users are accessing it for these internal tasks, compute hours wouldn’t be impacted.

Could you please confirm if my understanding is correct?

Thanks

Hi @shazadnazir:

Backend operations are initiated from http requests … so will be considered. I am not sure if some background processes are not taken in count here.

Anyway, and IMHO, this billing strategy aims to fairly charge to the customers only for the resources that their sites are consuming. So we should expect that for CPU, RAM, network, disk, etc … or whatever computing time.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, @avc.

Could you kindly guide us on where we can find detailed information regarding compute hours—specifically, what activities are included in the calculation and what are not?

We would like to review this in order to make an informed decision while selecting the appropriate plan.

Your guidance on how to assess the exact compute hours calculation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi @shazadnazir:

Can’t help much more here …

I’d suggest to contact with FrappeCloud team.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your time. Stay blessed.

Hi @avc,

Just a quick clarification: based on my understanding, there is no limit to the number of functional or technical users in ERPNext. Could you please confirm if that’s correct?

From what I gather, the key consideration is to manage compute hours effectively.

Thanks

Hi @shazadnazir:

You are right, this one of the strong points … no user limits.
