Exploring Funding Models for ERPNext's Future Development

I’m a big fan of ERPNext and am excited about its future. To help it compete with larger, well-funded proprietary systems, I was wondering if the community has discussed alternative funding models.

Perhaps introducing an official “Enterprise Edition” with advanced features or bundled support could provide Frappe with the stable resources needed for:

  • More aggressive marketing to increase brand awareness.

  • Expanding the core development team to speed up the roadmap.

  • Investing in high-quality documentation and training materials.

The goal would be to strengthen the project without compromising the open-source values we all appreciate. A rising tide lifts all boats, and a more successful ERPNext project would create more opportunities for everyone in our community.

I’m curious to hear what others think about this

The way I understand it so far…
I believe Frappe are focusing on feature requests from their Cloud Enterprise Customers ( ERPNext for Large Enterprises | Frappe ) and Gold Partners…
Remember this year (or was it last year) they are making a massive profit probably due to this strategy …
Us freebie community people are just enjoying the show and gate-crashing

but growth rate we can agree is quite very slow , frappe needs to be known out there just like how our competition is doing

These posts of yours are unhelpful.

You assume that marketshare is the goal. Frappe leadership has said many, many times that marketshare is not their goal.

If it’s your goal, that’s fine. Go do something to make it happen. In the meantime, please stop concern-trolling these forums.
