If a user wants to link to an external document (eg., a goole doc) to a record (eg., a Lead or Opportunity), is there a reasonable way to do this without just pasting the URL in a note?
We’d like to treat linked documents more like file attachments. We don’t want to attach the file, though, as it immediately becomes stale when extracted from its source environment.
While this is a general question, my primary concern is for google documents. The existing integration doesn’t appear to let you link drive files or anything like that. I want to be sure that I’m not overlooking anything.
