Hi,
My cost of production is fixed i.e I pay my workers as per the number of units produced. Therefore wages are paid per unit wise, i.e, INR 200 per unit. Is there any possible way where I can feed a fixed amount for the operating cost in the BOM of a product where I do not have to deal with the time log and hourly rate?
Hi I have the same issue
I pay certain workers a fixed cost for certain operations based on the units produced at the end of the day
I.e I pay a certain fixed amount for every unit produced. I want to add operations to my BOM, but I don’t want the cost of the operation to calculated based on time.
How would one go about this??
I believe this has been added in the recent updates, you can go to the costing tab in BOM and enable “Finished Goods based Operating Cost” and enter the fixed Operating Cost Per BOM Quantity.
I hope this is what you were looking for.
Thanks for your response.
What I am ideally looking for is the ability to define the operations within the BOM, but assign a fixed cost for each operation.
I.e I want the BOM to show all the operations needed to manufacture the product, but them it let me assign a fixed cost for each operation.
Then the total cost should be the sum of the raw materials and the sum of the fixed cost of all the operations
With the Finished Goods based Operating Cost, I cannot define individual operations that are needed to make the product. It just lets me define the total cost, which is not ideal for my scenario.
