As a sales rep, I want to be able to create reminders for my leads/opportunities and get notified about it through app notifications. I should be able to set date and time.
Is there a way to do this? If not, is this in development?

Or use Notification doctype to automate it …

@avc Thanks, that worked. But the notification dot is barely visible. Is there a way I can get popup/sound notifications?
