I am a Frappe/ERPNext developer working across all core ERPNext modules. For the past 4 months I have been building and maintaining a custom ERPNext v15 system for a jewellery company in Delhi, India. It runs multiple companies (retail stores, a purchase/manufacturing unit), repairs and inter-company stock movement on custom Frappe apps.
ERPNext modules
- Accounting: chart of accounts, GL, payments, inter-company, taxes, reports
- Stock: serial/batch tracking, valuation, stock entries, repack, warehouses
- Buying and Selling: purchase receipts/invoices, sales orders/invoices, delivery, returns
- Manufacturing: BOM, work orders, subcontracting
- HR and Payroll, CRM, Projects
- Frappe framework: custom apps, doctypes, hooks, server/client scripts, reports, print formats, REST API, integrations, migrations
Jewellery ERP work
- Purchase and repair receipts with metal, diamond, stone and labour breakdowns per piece
- Purity and pure gold logic, including silver (fineness, not karat) and repair returns that keep the whole piece’s pure gold
- Serial-wise tracking across warehouses, companies, transit, approvals and repairs
- Stock valuation at actual cost: receipts take the purchase cost plus repair costs instead of the tag price
- Repack / melt flows that turn finished pieces back into gold, diamond and stone stock
- Production data cleanup before migration: dry-run scripts, then verified fixes
How I work
- Trace the root cause in the code and data before changing anything
- Test every change end to end on a copy of production, side effects included
- Correct production data only after the code is fixed, with a dry run first
